Today, we're going to show you how simple it is to assemble an inline topwater lure using our innovative new TX10 propeller. This guide focuses on creating a high-performance lure that's ready for explosive surface action!
What You'll Need (Components List):
- TX10 Propeller: Available in Shad, Bone, and Black colors.
- Stainless Steel Wire: 8 inches long, .040 inch diameter, with a finished loop on one end. (Note: The TX10 propeller can handle wire frames up to .051 inch in diameter.)
-
Steel Beads:
- One 8mm steel bead
- One 5mm steel bead
- Aluminum Rivets: Two (These will help the propeller spin freely).
- Fishing Hook: One 5/0 hook.
- Shrink Wrap: 1/2 inch piece.
- Soft Plastic Trailer: One Yamamoto 5" Double Tail Hula Grub (soft plastic hula skirt).
Assembly Steps:
Follow these steps to quickly assemble your TX10 inline topwater lure:
- First Bead: Slide the 8mm steel bead onto the wire frame.
- First Rivet: Next, add one of the aluminum rivets.
- TX10 Propeller: Now, slide on the TX10 propeller itself.
- Second Rivet: Add the second aluminum rivet immediately after the propeller.
- Second Bead: Follow with the 5mm steel bead.
- Shrink Wrap: Carefully slide the 1/2 inch of shrink wrap all the way down the wire until it's positioned at the end of the propeller.
- Form Loop & Add Hook: Bend the remaining end of the wire to create a finishing loop, making sure to include the 5/0 hook within this loop as you secure it.
- Add Trailer: Finally, slide the Yamamoto 5" Double Tail Hula Grub onto the hook, completing your lure.
With these simple steps, your custom TX10 Inline Topwater Lure is ready to hit the water and create some serious splash!
